Veterans day 2019 had a special surprise. Rutherford council meetings had been held where a representative of “Rover”, a public transportation company, proposed that veterans ride the bus free for the day as was done in the prior year. The board liked it so much that they decided to do the veterans one better. Starting November 11th 2019, all veterans with valid identification can ride free permanently.
