Anchor Intro: This evening we have an interview of a longtime worker in the field of music collection as well as a self-taught musician at MTSU. Here is reporter Kuamii Gandy with the story.

Nat sound: (Fisher’s favorite recording in the music room) [:09 to 15]

Reporter Track #1: Little known fact, MTSU is home to around 250 thousand audio recordings. This includes older music, sounds, tapes and any other audio you can think of. The Bragg Building on campus is where Martin Fisher holds them.

Sound bite: “If we need to do any kind of, well we got a collection in, I’m responsible if deciding if we want it or not.
[:29 to :35]

Reporter Track #2: Fisher has been working in this field for more than 10 years. The job is extensive allowing him to meet with more and more organizations to increase the collection. In The future, he intends to amass more music where he can “digest” the older sounds.

Sound bite: “Because it’s just, I feel like it’s what I was created to do” [:50 to :54]

Outro: This is Kuamii Gandy WMOT News.
